Malatorium artspace was established in 2025 (firstly at ul. Piękna 54, Centrum to be moved by the end of the year to its permanent location at the Old Town ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 79) as an alternative artist- run space for cross-disciplinary intersectional events and experimental art: visual arts, performance, artistic research and music, combined with an educational institution.
Our mission is to enrich Warsaw's experimental art scene and provide artists from diverse fields of creation with a friendly space for expression, so they can organize and produce events, create inside this safe environment. In the activities we encourage and apply sustainability practices in art.
Our operational model is grounded in a symbiotic relation between art education and independent artistic projects, we are able to support thanks to it.
By organizing regular art classes and workshops, we can provide a space for experimental art, music concerts, intersectional performing arts, discussion clubs and networking evenings, while sharing our experience and possibilities within the artistic community. Environmental sustainability is one of our core values: we popularize more eco-friendly approaches to creational processes. We are an inclusive and safe space. See you at the events!
Malatorium is situated on the top (4th) floor of Hurtig Rosler historic building. Located at the very heart of the Old Town Plac Zamkowy square, it is surrounded by the Historic Center of Warsaw, the UNESCO heritage site.
The building is home to offices and art studios. The staircase and studio windows provide unique views to the cityscape. The area is very well- connected by public transportation to all the districts in the entire city with the central districts within a walkable distance.
